The short version: this website collects nothing about you. No cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no accounts, no forms. We don't know who visits, and we have no way to find out. If you build a shopping list, it's saved in your own browser and never sent to us — we only see it if you choose to copy it and message it to us yourself.
Two things, both saved in your own browser (in "local storage"), both of which stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere:
| What | Why | How to remove |
|---|---|---|
frioOrderList | Your shopping list, so refreshing the page doesn't wipe it | Press "Clear all" in the list, or clear your browser data |
frioNoticeSeen | Remembers you've read the privacy notice so it stops reappearing | Clear your browser data |
This site sets no cookies at all. We mention it because many sites claim to use "essential cookies" when they don't. We'd rather be accurate.
Our product catalog is stored in a Google Sheet. When you open the catalog, your browser requests that sheet from Google, which means Google can see your IP address as part of that request. We can't avoid this while the catalog lives there, and we'd rather tell you than not.
The map on our Visit page is provided by Google. We deliberately do not load it automatically — you'll see a button instead. Nothing is sent to Google unless you press it. Our address is shown as plain text either way, so you never have to load Google just to find us.
Instagram links only contact Instagram if you click them.
When you send us your list by Instagram DM or phone, we receive whatever you send — usually your name and what you'd like to order. We use it to prepare your order and nothing else. We don't add you to any list. Instagram messages are governed by Instagram's own privacy policy, not ours.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information a business holds about you, to have it deleted, or to opt out of it being sold. We hold no personal information from this website, and we do not sell information about anyone under any circumstances.
If you've messaged or called us and want us to delete what you sent, just ask — call (617) 569-1505 or message @thefriorico and we'll take care of it.
This site isn't directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.
We want everyone in our community to be able to use this site. It's built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which includes:
If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, please tell us — call (617) 569-1505 or message @thefriorico. We'll fix it, and in the meantime we'll happily take your order by phone.
If we ever add anything that collects information — a contact form, online ordering, analytics — we'll update this page before turning it on.
